When, Where, How?

We’re proud to announce that First Aid Manchester has officially launched. Train Aid have been running a wide range of open courses within London since 2009, and we now feel is the time to take them further afield. We pledge to stand by our ethos to provide practical and enjoyable training courses that place a strong emphasis on teaching skills that are relevant to the workplace.

There is also a promise to keep the courses affordable to everyone, which is why the one day emergency first aid course at work course has been slashed to £50 pp, and the 3 day course is only £195 pp. There are no hidden extras and all candidates receive a nationally recognised certificate.

Location, Location, Location

We are always going to be based at the friends meeting house within the centre of Manchester. It’s only a stone’s throw from the Town hall and the local Midland Hotel. All in all it’s a great location that boasts good transport links via road, bus and rail.

The friends meeting house is an elegant venue that is set back from the road. It dates back to the 1830’s, but has been converted as a training venue inside. This means it boasts state of the art training rooms, which have plenty of floor space for first aid. There is free Wi-Fi access on site, alongside a well-stocked coffee shop.

The Format

We will be running four different first aid training courses over a three day period on a monthly basis within Manchester.

The one day Emergency first aid at work course will run alongside the full 3 day first aid at work course. The two day refresher (those who already hold a qualification) will be taught separately on the first two days of the block.

Importantly we will also be running the Paediatric First Aid (12 Hour) course on the first day. This will be run in the new format, which requires candidates to attend one practical day and then to complete the rest of the syllabus via home learning.

Look out for Tom Casserley, Billy Casserley and Ellie Hayward as they will all be present on a monthly basis to teach the courses. Hopefully we will see you some time soon.
