Whats Covered

First Aid is often more simple than it is made out to be. Courses teach basic skills that anyone can learn and put into practice. Often it is a case of keeping calm, carrying out basic checks and promoting recovery whilst you await the arrival of the professionals.

The full Paediatric First Aid (12 hour) course teaches the full repertoire of first aid skills required to cope in the event of an accident or sudden illness. The shorter 6 hour qualification focuses more on the practical elements of first aid that can be used in the event of an emergency.

The new taster class is only one hour in duration so can only touch on the most important aspects of Paediatric First Aid. Topics covered include:

  • How to check for signs of breathing
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Dealing with Choking

Where to Go

If taking up the offer of the free taster class you should come to our training headquarters in Bell Street, Reigate. Please find the address below:

What Will I Get Out Of It?

In short life skills that can be used in the home environment or out in public spaces. Most of the skills related to the child could be put into practice on an adult.

Those who enjoy the taster session can think of taking it a step further by completing a full course which leads to certification.

In summary the worst thing of all has to be not knowing what to do when an emergency occurs...
