About this course

The training course is suitable for any healthcare professional, including nurses, doctors, NHS workers, and dentists.

Individuals who enrol in the course can expect to learn about the definition, symptoms, and treatment of anaphylaxis. Post care is also examined whilst awaiting the arrival of the emergency services.

Why this course?

This course aligns with the UK Resuscitation Council’s 2021 guidelines, helping meet the minimum training requirements for healthcare settings. Any individual who completes the course will have evidence of their training in the form of a CPD-accredited certificate.

Most importantly, individuals have newfound or refreshed knowledge in the field of anaphylaxis awareness, including how to recognise the condition, where to find adrenaline, and the correct dosage to administer.

Anaphylaxis training for healthcare professionals can be completed in-house on your own premises. The course is three hours in duration and includes a basic life support refresher to prepare staff members to handle cardiac arrest. 

The course is classroom-based and assessed through ongoing practical observation and multiple-choice questions at the end of each activity. Please note this course is not a substitute for injection technique training (which is not taught in this course)

The course's online format is delivered through a user-friendly portal that is quick and easy to use. There are four sections to navigate, each comprising a combination of lectures, videos, puzzles, and questions.

The taught content is assessed via a 10-question multiple-choice assessment at the end of the e-learning course. It can be completed on a smartphone, tablet, or computer. With the opportunity to take breaks and come back to the course at any time.
