The Fire Marshall course covers both general fire safety within the workplace and how to use an extinguisher in the event of a fire. Staff members can expect a combination of taught theory and practical application of the different types of fire extinguishers.

About this course

The course is taught over a four hour period in which staff members are given an a5 textbook and work pack to complete. The course starts by introducing the subject of fire safety via an interactive presentation which can be related to their own working environment.

The second and final part of the course involves the practical use of the different types of fire extinguishers. The teacher will first demonstrate their correct usage and allow staff members to practice themselves.

Why this course?

On successful completion the ‘Fire Marshall’ qualification is awarded, which is valid for a three year period. this will enable staff members to become fire Marshalls within their own workplace.

Most importantly, they will leave the course with new found knowledge in the different areas of fire safety and will have the practical experience of using a fire extinguisher in the event of an emergency.
