Fire Safety (Level 2) - In House

The Level 2 Award in Fire Safety (QCF) is a one day course which aims to cover / recap the topics in the Level 1 qualification and then delve further into the subject area to hope those in positions of responsibility. By its conclusion candidates should fully understand the risks and costs of fires and gain valuable knowledge on how to stop them.

What's involved?

The course really is about preparing the workforce for the event of a fire. The one day qualification looks at the concepts behind fire prevention and requires learners to think in groups about their individual workplaces. Learners get the opportunity to build a risk assessment and plan for the event of a fire within their own workplace.

The assessment takes the form of a 30 questions multiple choice examination whereby learners need to answer 20 of the questions correctly in order to obtain the qualification.

What you get out of it

Candidates receive a nationally recognised qualification which proves their competence within the field of fire planning, prevention and risk assessment. This knowledge is transferable to other employees which may make for a safer and happier working environment.

Who's it for?

The accredited Level 2 qualification is designed for anyone who is involved in the management of fire safety within a workplace setting. This may include nominated fire wardens, managers, general supervisors or any staff member working in a place where there is the potential risk of a fire.
