Health and Safety (Level 1) - In House

The Level 1 Award in Health & Safety in the Workplace centres on the maintenance of health and safety, and the employees role of reducing risks within the working environment. This half day course provides a good introduction to the benefits of Health & Safety for all.

What's involved?

The Level 1 Award by its conclusion aims to inform candidates that Health & Safety is the responsibility of everyone including employees, suppliers and regular visitors. The course is easy to follow and shows candidates how to create risk assessments, protect the workforce and the proper use of signage. The training also provides a basic introduction to Fire Safety, Manual Handling & First Aid.

The course is assessed through a 15 question multiple choice paper. Candidates must answer 10 out of the 15 questions correctly in order to obtain the qualification.

What you get out of it

Upon successfully passing candidates walk away with a nationally recognised qualification, which proves their competence in the field of Health & Safety. Alongside this they will leave with new found knowledge in how they can make their own individual workplace safer.

Who's it for?

This nationally recognised qualification is suitable for any area of the workforce, including those in the manufacturing, care, retail, and on food premises. Its a general qualification which is transferable to any industry, with the aim of making that environment safer.

The course is also suitable for those who are returning to work, who may need to be updated on current practices and any legislation changes.
