Health and Safety (Level 2) - In House

The Level 2 Award in Health & Safety is an accredited qualification which by its conclusion will enable candidates to work safely and deal with any hazards that may appear within the workplace. It covers the introductory topics of Level 1, and then builds further through the use of cost effective and practical control methods.

What's involved?

The Level 2 Qualification is achieved through a one day classroom based course. The training is centred around an easy to follow powerpoint with handbook. Learners are required to think about their own individual workplace, and how it could be made safer. Candidates can expect to design their very own risk assessment and examine the use of signage, and associated safety procedures.

The award is assessed through a 30 question multiple choice exam, whereby learners must answer 20 out of the 30 questions correctly in order to pass. The papers are available in both English and Polish.

What you get out of it

Upon successfully passing the multiple choice examinations candidates receive the Level 2 Award in Health & Safety in the Workplace (QCF). This is an Ofqual approved qualification which fits into the Qualifications and credit Framework (QCF). This complies with current regulatory standards and is also recognised by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE).

Who's it for?

Level 2 Health & Safety is suitable for any area of the workforce who need to understand the importance of safety for all. It is mainly suitable for those who are already in the workplace, and is particularly useful for younger workers to raise their awareness of hazards when preparing for a new working role.

Supervisors and Managers may find this course to be more suitable than the Level 1 (half day) award as they will have a better depth of understanding of the subject area.
