About this course

The course is taught over a four-hour period, during which staff members are given an A5 textbook and a work pack to complete. The course starts by introducing fire safety through an interactive presentation that relates to the learner's own working environment.

The second and final part of the course involves the practical use of the different types of fire extinguishers. The teacher will first demonstrate their correct usage and allow staff members to practice.

Why this course?

On successful completion, the ‘Fire Marshal’ qualification is awarded, which is valid for a three-year period. This will enable staff members to become fire marshals in their own workplaces.

Most importantly, they will leave the course with newfound knowledge across different areas of fire safety and practical experience using a fire extinguisher in an emergency.
