Level 2 food safety training prepares the food handler for working within the catering industry. The course should be completed by all food handlers working in a food premise within three months of starting work. 

This course is CPD-accredited, and once complete, it is advised that it be refreshed every 3 years.

About this course

Level 2 food safety explores the role of a food handler working within the catering industry. The food handler learns about their own responsibilities within the food premises and how to prevent outbreaks of food poisoning. 

There are four guided learning hours on the course covering the following sections:

  • Personal hygiene
  • Keeping work areas clean
  • Keeping food safe 
  • Food safety management systems

Upon enrollment, learners are sent a link to start the course. Consisting of four interactive sections, which include lectures, videos, puzzles, and questions. Ongoing assessment occurs as learners navigate the course. Concluding with a 20-question multiple-choice assessment.

Level 2 food safety training can be completed on a desktop, tablet, or smartphone. Learners can take breaks and return to their work at any time. Automatically saving their progress each time.
