About this course

The Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement focuses on assessing in an educational or training environment.

The course has two units:

1.  Understanding the principles and practices of assessment
2.  Assess vocational skills, knowledge, and understanding.

The course assessment is a portfolio of evidence comprising a written assessment and four vocational assessments.

Why this course?

This qualification is designed for those who assess candidates in a training or classroom environment.

Previous assessing experience is not required, but you must have access to two candidates to carry out the four vocational assessments.

It is suitable for all industries and for anyone who assesses vocational competence, without the need to carry out workplace assessments.

Many awarding organisations will require teachers and trainers who assess learners on accredited qualifications to be qualified assessors.
