About this course

The course is designed for any workplace where there is a requirement to lift objects and / or move them around. Candidates can expect to learn about safe moving and handling practices covering the following areas and more:

  • Injuries and ill health from manual handling
  • Risk assessments
  • Reducing risks
  • Correct lifting technique 
  • Use of equipment 

Why this course?

Candidates upon successful completion of the course are sent an electronic certificate, which is valid for three years and demonstrates competence  in safe moving and handling.

Most importantly they should have new found awareness in what causes workplace injuries, and understand when and how to safely lift objects in a variety of different situations.

Upon enrolment candidates are emailed a link to start the course. It consists of four interactive modules and a 10 questions multiple choice assessment. The modules consist of written content, puzzles, questions and videos.

The course can be completed on a smartphone, computer or tablet and it’s possible to take breaks and return back to the course.
