Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (CTLLS)

The Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (previously CTLLS) is a nationally accredited post-16 teaching qualification. 

The course consists of six units:

1. Understanding roles and responsibilities in education and training 

2. Planning to meet the needs of learners' education and training

3. Delivering education and training 

4. Assessing learners in education and training 

5. Using resources for education and training 

6. Inclusive practice

The course assessment is a combination of written assignments and practical teaching evidence. Learners must log 30 hours of current teaching practice, including three lesson observations.

The Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training has been designed for trainee teachers or current trainers.

It is suitable for learners who:

Upon successful completion of the course, learners can progress to the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training to achieve full teacher status.
